LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- An international traveler landed in Las Vegas with more than 70 pounds of ketamine in his luggage, leading federal agents to arrest him, documents said.
Nehemiah Bayonne faces federal charges of importation of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, documents said.
On Monday, Sept. 29, Bayonne landed at Harry Reid International Airport on a flight from London, according to a special agent with Homeland Security Investigations.
During a Customs and Border Protection inspection, an officer located “packages shaped similarly to bricks” in Bayonne’s bags, they said. The 32 bricks, totaling 72 pounds, contained “a white crystal-like solid substance” that agents believe is ketamine.
