BERLIN CENTER, Ohio (WKBN) - Western Reserve students are exploring medical careers with a hands-on approach.

Thursday, eighth graders in the "Medical Detectives" class opened a mock emergency room.

The students conducted exams of pretend patients to determine a diagnosis.

The Biomedical high school class then performed simulated blood draws.

Both classes are part of a nonprofit program that develops STEM curriculum for elementary, middle and high schools.
