Millions of dollars worth of stolen cars, illegal drugs, weapons and cash have been seized and 30 suspects have been arrested after a joint investigation brought together eight law enforcement agencies.

Niagara Regional Police Chief Bill Fordy said the force’s major drugs and gang unit launched “Project Road King” in August 2024, “but very quickly revealed something much larger” as information obtained by detectives indicated connections to a larger criminal network throughout southern Ontario and beyond.

Speaking at a media conference in Niagara Falls on Thursday, Fordy said Niagara officers teamed up with RCMP, Canada Border Services Agency, Criminal Intelligence Service of Ontario and Équité Association, as well as Hamilton, Brantford and Halton police services.
