CLEVELAND, Texas (KIAH) -- An oil well fire is under control after a shelter-in-place alert was called in Cleveland, officials said.

The oil well is located at Peach Street and Nevelle Road in Cleveland on Thursday afternoon. Several fire trucks were called to put out the fire, which led to a shelter-in-place alert near the area.

But around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the Cleveland Fire Department said that the fire was under control and was put out, causing the shelter-in-place alert to be lifted.

No injuries have been reported.
