SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - With the doors to Sioux City’s ACX Promenade Cinema still locked, organizers of the Siouxland International Film Festival found themselves locked out of the venue they planned to use for the four-day event starting Thursday night.
So, film festival organizers moved Thursday night’s event down the street to the Re/Max City Centre at 4th and Jones Streets.
Leslie Werden is the president of the Siouxland International Film Festival board.
She says the board had no idea about the problems between the ACX Promenade Cinema, and the building’s owner.
Nor, that those problems would endanger the film festival.
Werden hopes the Promenade Cinema will reopen the weekend’s short film showings.
But, if not, the rest of the short films will be shown at the Re/max City Centre.
