HARTFORD, Conn. — Connecticut is getting ready to show off one of its most beautiful transformations of the year.

While the leaves haven’t hit their peak yet, Mother Nature is warming up her brushes and setting the stage for vibrant autumn landscapes perfect for seasonal road trips, scenic hikes and Instagram-worthy photos.

Now is the time to soak in the crisp air and explore the outdoors before the leaves fall and winter starts knocking.

“It's a great time of year to be out and be comfortable and just enjoy the fresh air,” said Chris Martin, director of Forestry at Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, CT DEEP.
