BROOK PARK, Ohio (WJW) - The FOX 8 I-Team captured video Thursday of the first construction crews where the Browns plan to build a dome.

Yet, this comes even with some local leaders taking new steps trying to stop the project.

The first sights and sounds of heavy equipment at the site for the dome included crews pushing dirt and getting rid of concrete. Clearing the spot where the Browns plan to build an enclosed stadium.

Not actual construction of the building, but preparation of the site.

Formal groundbreaking has been set for early next year. The Browns plan to start playing in the dome in 2029.

We shared what's going on at the scene with the Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council.
