ALLEN PARK -- Of all the positives to take away from the last three games for the Detroit Lions, there is one outlier they would love to fix.
They have surrendered an opening drive touchdown in every single game to open this season. Now, Kelvin Sheppard’s group has managed to adjust and come out looking better on the other side, but it’s something they and fans want to see cleaned up.
The first-year Lions defensive coordinator has been pounding the table for a three-and-out to open a game. But, at this point, anything other than a game-opening touchdown would represent growth.
“I continue to stand up here, hopefully these guys hear this message -- if nothing else that I say - I want to start the game with a three-and-out,” Sheppard previously said. “Hopefully, we could kind of eventuall
