The Washington Commanders are set to welcome back their star quarterback just in time for a crucial Week 5 test. Jayden Daniels, sidelined since September 11 with a knee sprain, has been medically cleared and returned to full practice this week. His timing couldn’t be better— Washington heads to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers on Sunday afternoon at SoFi Stadium, where Daniels will be playing in front of friends and family in his home state of California.
Daniels admitted the last few weeks were difficult as he watched Marcus Mariota step in at quarterback, but the Commanders managed to stay afloat at 2-2. Now, Coach Dan Quinn says the offense will be “back at full speed” with Daniels taking all first-team reps, adding that he is “champing at the bit to get going.”
