Sheriff Adam King pleaded not guilty Thursday to Abuse of Office by Sexual Harassment, Retaliation Against a Witness and Aggravated Perjury.

With his wife by his side, Johnson County Sheriff Adam King appeared in court Thursday, less than 24 hours after he was arrested on a second indictment for Aggravated Perjury.

King was first arrested in August for two counts of Retaliation Against a Witness and Abuse of Office by Sexual Harassment.

This indictment, filed on Wednesday, alleges King made a false statement under oath before a grand jury that he had not changed the plaintiff’s work schedule or duty station after she made the sexual harassment complaint.
