MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man charged with attempted first-degree murder in a 2024 domestic violence case and indicted for child rape in 2020 was taken into custody and is being held on a $375,000 bond.

Cordarius Craig, 32, is also charged with sexual battery in the 2018 rape case and employment of a firearm to commit a felony, vandalism, and domestic assault in the 2024 incident.

On Thursday, Attorney General Pam Bondi said that a man wanted for the rape of a child was among 40 people arrested in Memphis on Wednesday. WREG has not confirmed whether she was referring to Craig.

In a social media post, Bondi said other arrests included a Tren de Aragua terrorist, a felon in possession of a firearm, a man wanted for rape of a child, and an arrest for assault on a federal officer.
