(NewsNation) — Miley Cyrus is reflecting on the backlash she received after rebranding following her years on Disney’s “Hannah Montana.”

In a preview of her interview with Tracy Smith of “CBS Sunday Morning,” Cyrus talks about how she changed her image in the 2010s to fit a more mature look to fit her albums “Can’t Be Tamed” and “Bangerz.”

"I was the first person to maybe ever be canceled, I guess," Cyrus said. "I didn't know until I was older actually how brutal it really was."
