CLEVELAND -- Progressive Field was rocking in the eighth inning on Thursday as José Ramírez charged toward second base. The Guardians third baseman’s routine ground ball drove in two runs thanks to a missed-catch error by Tigers reliever Will Vest, and he was looking to get into scoring position.
Ramírez was thrown out at second base to end the inning, but he helped the Guardians cut their deficit to three and energize a ballpark enveloped by nervous energy.
