HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A fire at an apartment building in Hartford on Thursday killed one dog but did not result in any human injuries.
According to the Hartford Fire Department, crews responded to a three-story apartment building on Madison Avenue in the Parkville area of the city and found heavy fire coming from the back of the building.
Additional crews were called to the scene to help extinguish the fire. One dog did not survive the fire, but all human occupants are accounted for with no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hartford Fire Marshal's Office and the city is coordinating with the American Red Cross to assist the displaced residents.
