ROSELAND, La. — Cleanup efforts in the aftermath of the Smitty's explosion are ramping up, but the answers to still looming questions aren't, although Governor Landry claims he and the EPA have "been completely transparent."

Chemicals

The EPA released the inventory list, which is a list of chemicals present on site at Smitty's at the time of the explosion. But what they haven't addressed is how much of those chemicals were burned up and ended up in the environment. During a press conference on Wednesday, the EPA announced that it has recovered more than 4 million gallons of oily material from the Tangipahoa River and nearby ponds.
