The Cleveland Guardians ended the Detroit Tigers’ season a year ago, then pulled off an historic comeback in this year’s pennant chase to win the American League Central title. The Tigers decided enough was enough, and won Thursday’s winner-take-all Game 3 of the AL Wild Card series, 6-3, to advance to the AL Division Series for the second straight season.
