SAND SPRINGS — The Sand Springs Sandites opened the 2025 football season against the Bixby Spartans.

After that 56-7 home loss to Bixby, the Sandites were beaten 45-17 on the home field of the team — Owasso — that Bixby defeated in overtime for the 2024 Class 6AI title.
