EUGENE, Ore-- Keeping positive continues to remain the name of the game at Pape Field as Oregon tries to navigate a challenging start to the season.
With a current record of 2-7-3, the Ducks have faced long scoreless stretches and defensive struggles over the last several weeks. From August 28th through September 25th, Oregon soccer only managed to put one goal into the back of the net, getting outscored in that stretch 11-1.
This past weekend, Oregon appeared to finally find some life, scoring three goals in the team's match against Indiana taking a 3-1 lead. But in the last 20 minutes of action the defense conceded two goals, to force the game to end in a tie, highlighting the team's ongoing challenges.
