Evidence at a Strathroy babysitter’s manslaughter trial has come to at least a temporary halt over secret audio recordings of doctors involved in a deceased toddler’s case.
Superior Court Justice Michael Carnegie agreed Thursday to an adjournment request from Meggin Van Hoof’s defence team after assistant Crown attorney Meredith Gardiner indicated they would be seeking a production order from the court for recordings made by Nathaniel McLellan’s mother, Rose-Anne Van De Wiele, during her own parallel investigation after her 15-month-old son died on Oct. 31, 2015.
