HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A dog has died and multiple people are displaced after a house fire in Hartford.

The fire broke out at around 3:56 p.m. at 59 Madison Avenue in the Parkville neighborhood.

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the rear enclosed porches of the three-story brick multi-family home. The fire had spread to the second and third floors.

A second alarm fire was declared to bring in additional fire crews.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported and all occupants in the home have been accounted for. Unfortunately, a dog did not survive.

The fire was knocked down at around 4:40 p.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to fire officials.
