MUSKEGON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say a reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a man who is wanted for a 2021 murder.

Jamerius Brown, 24, who is also known as JB, has been at large since November of 2024, according to Michigan State Police.

He is wanted for the July 28, 2021 shooting death of Khalid Burt, a 22-year-old who police say was shot and killed while driving on northbound US-31 near the river flats east of Muskegon. Police say the shooting was gang related.

Charges of open murder, gang membership felonies and weapons charges have been authorized against Brown and two other co-defendants, Lenar Branch and Threshon Wyrick.

Branch and Wyrick are in custody awaiting trial, MSP said.
