HOOVER, Ala. ( WBRC ) - People who live in the Everlee community in Hoover are pushing for a faster installation time for a traffic light on Highway 150, just outside of their neighborhood.

Right now, the Everlee Board of Directors are quoting at least a year for the installation, which one resident says is too long.

“In the morning, during school drop off and during the afternoon when commuters are coming on… it’s already so busy… it’s like playing a game of Frogger trying to get across those two lanes,” said Bailey McMahan, whose parents live in the Everlee neighborhood.

McMahan worries that if there’s no traffic light on Highway 150, someone could get hurt.
