CULLMAN, Ala. ( WBRC ) - After more than 14 years in Cullman, Rock the South is moving to the Decatur area.
The music festival has had a $150 million impact on Cullman over the years, but city leaders have not lost hope for the economy and business growth.
It was all hands on deck to ensure Cullman Oktoberfest was set up for success on Thursday.
Some may say there is more riding on it this year now that Rock the South has moved.
WBRC spoke with vendors who just heard the news.
“I was very shocked because if you are on social media at all, you know when it is Rock the South time that there is people constantly posting,” said Jenna Collins with Prodigal Pottery.
Cullman Mayor Woody Jacobs also weighed in, saying in part:
