A freeze watch was released by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 3:13 p.m. valid for Saturday between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Klamath Basin and Central and Eastern Lake County.

The weather service comments, “Sub-freezing temperatures of 26 to 32 degrees are possible. Colder temperatures are also possible Saturday night.”

“Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” describes the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
