SURPRISE, Ariz. — Parts of the Loop 303 highway in the West Valley will be closed this weekend to allow for pavement work.

The Arizona Department of Transportation said the northbound lanes will be closed between Interstate 10 and Happy Valley Parkway starting Friday at 10 p.m. and ending Saturday at 1 p.m..

The southbound lanes between I-10 and Happy Valley Parkway will be closed from Saturday at 10 p.m. to Sunday at 1 p.m., ADOT said.

To get around the closure, drivers can use the Loop 101 as an alternate route.

ADOT said crews will work to reopen sections of Loop 303 as the pavement work progresses.

In addition, the southbound lanes of the Loop 101 will be closed between Pima Road and Shea Boulevard from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers can use southbound State Route 51 and
