COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) - Columbia County School District held its annual Teacher of the Year Celebration, Thursday.

Dozens of teachers from elementary, middle and high schools in Columbia County were recognized for their outstanding performances in the classroom but only one took home the title as Columbia County Teacher of the Year.

Tiffany Tanner was named as the 2026 Teacher of the Year.

Tanner is a music instructor at Parkway Elementary School and has been teaching for 15 years. I spoke with her right after she was named Teacher of the Year and she tells me how she was feeling.
