DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - Shower activity popped up in a couple spots just south of Fayette county earlier today. However, in typical drought fashion, those showers fizzled as the depth of higher humidity just wasn't there yet.
Tomorrow is a different day; not so much in terms of heat, but even higher humidity. That may help lend toward minor shower development, but once again the depth of higher humidity will be lacking, so don't get any hopes up.
Summer warmth will stick around into early next week. Always remember though; averages are the product of extremes. It'll be cool before you know it.
Meanwhile, stay weather-aware and stay sweaty.
