ATLANTA — A Fulton County inmate is in critical condition at Grady Hospital after she was attacked by another inmate , according to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.

Tyriana Ledbetter was booked into jail in May on charges including aggravated assault and armed robbery during a home invasion. Another inmate, Shania White, is accused of attacking her on September 22. White is in jail on drug related charges, and now faces additional charges for the attack including aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and a felony charge of tampering with evidence.

Ledbetter’s mother held a press conference on Tuesday, and said her daughter is mentally disabled and should never have been in a cell with White.
