BRAINERD — Allie Reilley and Emma Murray stayed home sick Thursday, Oct. 2.

Section 8-2A’s top sprinter, Isabelle Ploof, remained out of the Brainerd Warriors lineup and there was still no catching the Blue and White as they handed the Alexandria Cardinals a 138-48 Central Lakes Conference loss at Brainerd High School.

With three big point-getters out of the lineup, everyone else stepped in and stepped up.

Lily Larson won the 200-yard individual medley and topped the 100 butterfly field. She also helped Brainerd’s 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays to firsts.

Larson said she didn’t feel any extra pressure despite missing people from the lineup.

“Only a little bit,” she said. “I didn’t even realize a meet was actually happening. It just felt so casual today.”

Larson won the IM in 2:2
