MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A Memphis man has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking fentanyl in DeSoto County.
DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton said Odie Ratchford entered the plea on Wednesday and also received 22 years of post-release supervision.

The DA said Ratchford was arrested in July 2022 on Goodman Road after a routine traffic stop by local law enforcement.
Officers discovered 957 fentanyl pills in his possession. During the investigation, Ratchford admitted he had been selling fentanyl directly on the streets of DeSoto County.
Barton said the case is another stark reminder that Memphis crime knows no boundaries.
