CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) - For the second time this week, Chapmanville Regional High School is sending its students home because of a bat problem that won’t go away.
“It’s a shock when something like that happens,” said Logan County Schools spokesperson Troy Alexander. “You know, we thought we had it dealt with yesterday we got the all clear and then you find out there’s still an issue.”
Angie Kennedy is a substitute teacher from Chapmanville who said she’s not surprised or amused seeing bats in the school.
“One got in my house and then three more came and we had to get our chimney sealed up,” Kennedy said. “It’s a big thing and when they’re in there they’re very frightening.”
