The ABC can reveal that a formal complaint was lodged against ACT Opposition Leader Leanne Castley, though it was later withdrawn.

Documents obtained by the ABC under a freedom of information request reveal a complaint about Ms Castley was formally lodged with the Clerk of the ACT Legislative Assembly on June 25.

The exact nature of the complaint and the identity of the person who made it have been redacted, but the matter was referred to the Assembly's Commissioner for Standards, Ken Crispin.

In his annual report for 2024-25, Dr Crispin said he received a complaint on June 26, "alleging that a Member had spoken to staff members inappropriately on several occasions."

In the report, he said he wrote to the female complainant seeking further information.
