LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It’s been an agonizing week for one Lexington woman.

Joyce Velicovich says she’s been searching for her dog, June, since September 23. Only days before June had puppies.

According to Velicovich, June got out at the groomer and has yet to begin.

“It has been a very hard feeling not knowing where to look,” said Velicovich.

Velicovich says it was supposed to be a relaxing spa day for June, but it turned into something unpleasant. Over the past nine days, she’s been grieving while also looking for June.

“This week is just heartbreak. Just searching but not knowing where the search will go or what will turn up or if June will ever come home.”
