DUNNELLON, Fla. (WCJB) - A nonprofit founded after the Uvalde school shooting is drawing attention to a hoax kidnapping in Marion County.
In a news release, leaders with the “Uvalde Foundation for Kids” said they want answers in the hoax abduction of 17-year-old Caden Speight as well as charges against the teen’s mother.
Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said she is not cooperating with deputies.
The Uvalde Foundation joined the search last Thursday and offered a reward for finding Speight, who, a week ago, had claimed he was shot and kidnapped by a group of men.
