Easthampton, Westfield receive nearly $1M in parks grants

Parks in Easthampton and Westfield will receive nearly $1 million in state Land and Water Conservation Fund grants.

The 24-year-old Westfield Skate Park , off Broad Street, will be modernized with the help of an $800,000 grant to accommodate a variety of different skaters, cyclists and wheelchair sports. The entire project is estimated to cost $1.6 million, state officials said.
