BURBANK, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District has awarded a $926,800 contract to a contractor to upgrade the Large Onsite Septic System (LOSS) at Charbonneau Park and Campground, the district said in a release .

The LOSS system upgrade will enhance essential infrastructure, including showers, restroom and 54 campsites.

Construction will occur during the off-season from October 2025 to April 2026 to minimize visitor disruption.

Boaters may face temporary outages at the marina pump-out station during this period, with advance notifications provided.
