Indian Air Force Chief Amar Preet Singh praised Operation Sindoor during a press conference on the 93rd Air Force Day, stating it will be remembered for its speed and precision, effectively bringing Pakistan "to its knees." He detailed that the operation involved multiple strikes on Pakistani targets, resulting in the destruction of 4-5 fighter jets and significant damage to airfields and military installations.

Singh explained that the four-day operation was executed with a clear mandate and concluded swiftly as India achieved its objectives. He noted, "As far as Pakistan's losses are concerned, we struck a large number of their airfields and installations. Because of these strikes, radars at least in four places, command and control centres at two places, and runways at two places were damaged. Three hangars in different stations were also affected."

He highlighted the destruction of a C-130 class aircraft and a surface-to-air missile system, emphasizing the effectiveness of India's newly inducted long-range surface-to-air missiles. Singh stated, "Our long-range SAMs that we had procured recently and operationalised... We could look deep inside their territory. It will go down in history that longest kill that we achieved of more than 300 kilometres by that."

The IAF Chief dismissed Pakistan's claims regarding the conflict, referring to them as "manohar kahaniyan." He remarked that the operation serves as a lesson in military strategy, noting, "It will go down in history as a war started with a very clear objective and terminated quickly. We called to end the hostilities as a nation because our objectives were achieved."

Singh also acknowledged the role of the media in managing information during the conflict, stating, "Our media handled the fog of war very well, cutting down disinformation. They stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Army."

Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) through precision strikes in May this year, followed by a strong response to Pakistan's escalation efforts.
