MESICK — After a strong showing in Fruitport, the Mason County Eastern co-ed varsity cross country teams were back in action on Wednesday in West Michigan “D” League Jamboree No. 3.
The Cardinals boys varsity team took home three of the top five places and secured second place with 44 points. Mesick won with 39 points. Grand Traverse Academy was third with 55 points while Bear Lake took home fourth place. Pentwater competed, but didn’t record a team score due to only having four runners.
Sophomore Lance Niedzielski continued his impressive 2025 campaign with a third place finish on Wednesday. He ran a 17:50.18 in the 5,000-meter race.
Junior Milo Shoup and sophomore Kaiden Lague also place in the top five.
