LUDINGTON — Although the West Michigan Conference title wasn’t on the line Wednesday, the Ludington boys varsity soccer team wanted to close out its conference slate on a high note.

After celebrating its seniors and foreign exchange students – Gabe Gamez, Gabriel Lima, Theo Vieira Carvalho De Oliveria, Xiane Smith, Kyle Stidham, Arvid Tegner, Ian Lundberg, Filipo Ferraro and Jayden Mirretti – the Orioles went to work against Shelby.

Albeit with a different lineup than usual.

“It was our seniors and our exchange students,” Orioles head coach Kristofer Anderson said. “We started them. It’s senior night and we wanted to recognize them.
