The undefeated Goodrich Martians (5-0, 3-0) travel to face the surging Owosso Trojans (4-1, 2-1) in a pivotal Flint Metro-Lower league matchup at Willman Field on Friday night.

The Martians enter on a tear, having dismantled visiting Clio 65-14 last week behind senior running back Jakoby Lagat’s 321-yard, four-touchdown performance on just 19 carries. Goodrich ’s suffocating defense has been equally impressive, not allowing more than 14 points in any contest this season.

The Trojans defeated rival Corunna 34-14 last week, powered by senior quarterback Liam Patrick’s 287 passing yards and three touchdowns. Owosso seeks redemption after last year’s lopsided 48-6 defeat at Goodrich .

Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday, October 3 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS
