A Sullivan County community has rallied to help with recovery expenses for a dog who was shot by a New York State Trooper Sept. 24.

The dog, Pumpkin, is a 3-year-old American Bully whose front left leg had to be removed because a bullet was lodged in its bone.

The shooting happened at the Wurtsboro home of Pumpkin’s owner, Dammian Lopez.
