North Carolina-based fast food chain Cookout plans to open at least 19 new restaurants.

The chain, which has amassed a cult following for its customizable trays, burgers, shakes and more, will open locations throughout the mid-Atlantic and southeastern U.S. North Carolina will see more new stores than any other state. Other locations will also be opened in several of the Tar Heel State's neighbors, including Tennessee and South Carolina.
