New Delhi: Mahindra’s rugged SUV, the Thar, has just received its most significant update since the current generation was introduced five years ago. Priced from ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2025 Thar facelift brings changes inside and out, along with some much-needed tech upgrades. The SUV continues to retain its tough off-road DNA, but this time it borrows design and comfort elements from Mahindra’s bigger Roxx SUV.
What struck me while going through the update is how much of it is about convenience. For years, owners have complained about missing basics like rear AC vents, modern infotainment, and even something as small as an internal fuel-lid release. This facelift seems to fix many of those long-pending issues.
