Leeds United received transfer enquiries about Joel Piroe this summer but these approaches were always going to be futile.
“I’m not thinking about leaving, or what’s going on at other clubs,” Piroe said in August ahead of deadline day . “I understand that a few other clubs approached me in the summer.
"But the club didn’t want to let me go, and I don’t want to leave at all. All I want is to perform with Leeds in the Premier League.”
While the comments went down well with the Leeds fan base at the time, Piroe has hardly got his own wish. After starting against Everton and Arsenal, the Dutchman has not played a single minute in the top flight since.
His inclusion against Fulham was always in doubt after suffering a foot problem but Daniel Farke later indicated that his omission fro
