A Waterloo woman has been arrested after her three year old was found wandering the streets, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Witnesses noticed the child removing his pants and one shoe in the middle of Hawthorne Avenue at around 4pm last Friday. Those witnesses pulled the boy to safety and called the authorities. Police allegedly found the boy’s mother, 43 year old Lindsey Wirtz, asleep and highly intoxicated. She has been charged with Child Endangerment. Wirtz was also charged with Child Endangerment and Assault in January of last year after she allegedly left her then one year old and six year old alone for an extended amount of time and then slapped the six year old.
