A substitute teacher in Vermont was cited for cocaine possession this week after a student complained she was exhibiting "unusual behavior" in the classroom she was teaching in.
Barre police said they responded along with an ambulance to the Barre Town Middle and Elementary School at 10:49 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a woman believed to be under the influence of drugs.

The woman was identified as 47-year-old Melissa Martin, a permanent substitute teacher employed by the Barre Unified Union School District who worked at Barre Town Middle and Elementary School.
The incident was reported to school staff after a student noticed Martin's "unusual behavior," police said.
