A victim was killed in an overnight shooting in the Desire area, New Orleans police said.

Just before 2 a.m. police responded to a call about a shooting, finding a male victim with a gunshot wound at the 4300 block of Louisa Street.

New Orleans EMS declared him dead on scene.

Police did not release the victim's age nor did they share any additional information about the shooting.
