Kevin McCloud has named his favourite staycation spot in the UK – and it's in Scotland. In an exclusive interview, Kevin, best known as the host of Channel 4's Grand Designs , shared some of his best-loved locations in the UK, naming cities, a town, and one place he never wants to leave. ‌

Speaking ahead of Grand Designs Live 2025, Kevin , when asked to name his favourite staycation spot said he loved the likes of Newcastle, Gateshead, Sheffield, and Birmingham. ‌

It may have been expected that he'd choose such places , considering he's a designer who fronts a beloved property programme . But when it comes to taking a well-earned staycation, it seems Kevin, like many of us, is also a fan of peace and quiet. ‌
