YORK, Va. (WAVY) -- A man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly being in possession of child sexual abuse material, deputies said.

According to officials, in June of 2025, the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office received a tip about a residence within York County receiving child pornography while using social media sites.

Following a thorough investigation, on Sept. 30, deputies were able to secure a search warrant for a residence in the 1600 block of Dandy Loop Road. During the search, deputies stated they were able to seize electronic devices which contained evidence of child pornography.

Just two days later, on Oct. 2, deputies were able to obtain criminal charges against 20-year-old Liam Plasse-McGreevy in connection with the investigation.
