A top UK energy provider is set to distribute free electric blankets to families as a measure to help them manage skyrocketing energy bills. OVO Energy, known for its regular support to customers, is broadening its programme to aid households ahead of the winter season.

The firm is believed to have provided £190 million in assistance since 2022, which includes distributing heated blankets, efficiency kits, and smart sockets to 42,000 customers just last year.

OVO is currently assisting customers through a £56 million support package that can provide free energy-saving products.
